Shooting here in Amarillo yesterday. Reporting in this town is usually terrible. No mention of who made the first call to police, or whether the shooter has a CHL, but he was released pending further investigation.

Here's the link to the initial report: http://www.myhighplains.com/story/d/sto ... vQhHni-k3Q" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hopefully APD had improved since my experience with them in 1996 when my truck got broken into. The officer that took the report reported a Winchester Model 1300 "Black Shadow" pump shotgun that was stolen as a double barrel shotgun. When I found out I was definitely not happy.

"In the other case, Mitchell Keith Voigt, 37, was indicted on an aggravated assault charge stemming from an April 9 shooting incident at Smokey Joe’s Cafe, 2903 S.W. Sixth Ave.

Authorities said Voigt attacked Bradley Moore, 49, repeatedly punching him in the face. Moore then shot Voigt with a .380 caliber handgun in the abdomen.

Moore told officers he had acted in self-defense, and the grand jury chose not to bring charges against him Tuesday."
