Haven't been to a gun show for a while, so I'm thinking about the Premier show this weekend in Cedar Park. Any RECENT feedback on this show? (Saw the thread about $250 prices on 525 round boxes of .22lr last year. :shock: ) Looking for a few specific items to fill out my collection, and was wondering if it would be worth the $8 admission fee and $5 parking charge just to look around.

Has there been another show since last year?
The Cedar Park center is posted 30.06 (checked recently). That's my only "recent" comment.

I went to last year's show. It was decent and I didn't see any outrageous prices. Larger than the Saxet show in Dripping Springs a couple months ago.

FYI... On the Premier website "NOTICE: You may bring your gun to the show – it must be unloaded, checked by the Police Officers at the entrance, and tied with a plastic tie. NO EXCEPTIONS – including concealed carry permit holders, the show is posted as such in accordance with Texas laws"

Went to the show, came out empty handed.

Overall impression was that it was pretty good sized for this area. Lots - and I mean LOTS - of EBRs, lots of new pistols from regular dealers, not much in the way of used guns in decent shape. If you were looking for an AR-pattern rifle or a common-model Glock, Springfield, SIG, or similar pistol, you would have had plenty of choices.

A few things I saw:

* 1000 rounds of PMC .223 FMJ for $780, roughly twice what you can order it for on the web. (Including delivery.)
* 500 rounds of .22 long rifle Remington Thunderbolt for $70
* 100 rounds of CCI .22 long rifle Mini Mag for $12 (different vendor)
* A super tactical 8-32x56 riflescope for around $165. LOTS of no-name optics, many configured to resemble name brands.
* An SOG automatic knife for $199 which is available on-line for $120 delivered.
* A 9mm Luger that was not only pitted in spots but looked like it had been spot-refinished for $1900
* LOTS of "no name brand" AR parts and accessories - suspect they come from China.
* A number of "slightly used" uppers in .300 Blackout, 6.8 SPC, etc. (Hmmm . . . wonder why so many "almost new" uppers are on the used market? I can guess . . . )
* Stripped AR15 lowers for $120 or so.
* M&P 15-22 mags for $19.99, Ruger BX-25 mags for $26.95, Magpul Gen 3 mags for $14.

The single weirdest thing I saw for sale was one of these:

Oh, and FWIW . . . there WAS a "no guns" sign at the entrance, and they were checking bags and purses, but the sign DID NOT meet PC30.06 requirements.
