So far, a perfect afternoon. Eighty degrees and a cool breeze. A ribeye steak, beans and corn on the cob on deck.

It's 39°, rainy with a 12-15 mph north wind on Flathead Lake today. Last Thursday was absolutely beautiful in Glacier NP, however.

Going great! We are putting the final touches to the chicken coop.

Time to put the pool up too! It's 90 here today.

Spent a few hours at Cabelas looking at pocket pistols and safes. You're making me want to fire up the grill now...

Sitting here in the garage turning some pens for a friends bachelors party. I am making 30 caliber bolt action pens for the guys.

Finished cleaning the gutters. Fixed one that was sagging. Planted some (4) 10" container plants that I had bought last year and never planted. Mostly alive. Trimmed some dead stuff from the freeze. Washed the patio furniture. I have a dimmer to put in. But instead I'm going to Keels and Wheels in Kemah tomorrow morning.

Weather is great.

A little worried the drought is back again.

So far a great weekend.

My (3 day) weekend started yesterday with a trip to Costco for household necessities.

Afterwards a friend & I went to Cabela's in Allen for .223 ammo to use at the range this morning. Came home with the ammo & a Ruger American Rifle in .308.

This morning, my grandson & I met the friend at the range where we sighted in his new AR, plus shot my AR, 10/22 Takedown, & M1 carbine. He worked his AR out to 300 yards before we were done.

Right now I'm tired, but I'll give the weekend so far!

Packed our bags last night and drove up to Fischer, TX today to baby sit for our daughter and son-in-law. My wife always tells me it's not baby sitting when it's your grandchildren. I don't know what else to call it. Watching their two girls aged 6 and 5 and the 11 month old grandson while they go on a week long cruise.

Just got back from a two and a half hour dinner at Granny D's on 306. ( I have a theory; the bigger the chicken fried steak, the louder the guys eating them talk and laugh )
Had to kill a scorpion on the wall before the girls would go up the steps to the house Did I mention they'll be gone a week? Just kidding.... We volunteered for this and it's all good! That rib-eye does look good, but I wouldn't trade it for my weekend

You never know.....

It's been a great weekend, but an expensive one. My daughter had to come to Forth Worth for state academic tourney. Now, we are about to go to the zoo, and all the restaurants and mall shopping (scary).

Great weekend. Watched my 14 yo fly - and hung out in the theater room with the family watching movies.
