July 4th micro dot sale at Primary Arms

I wanted to share, I got an email from Primary Arms with some things on sale for July 4th.
Their MD-06 & MD-06L is $49 (regularly $80).
If you are interested I wouldn't wait, I think they will sell out anytime. Aim surplus also had the same deal and they are already sold out.
According to their posts on another forum, they will be replaced with newer models. I think with emitters that are smaller.
I've been on the fence about buying but I just used up all funds I had allocated.
Sorry no links, it's my understanding that I can't post direct links. Please tell me if I misunderstood that so I know next time.

They were on sale a few months back. I got one. It is a decent useable red dot.

I tried to do this earlier today, but their website said they were sold out already.

TAM,
I just ordered the MD-06L , but both show to be in stock now. The first time I searched only the MD-06 came up but when I did a BRAND search and clicked on Primary they both came up.

Thanks for the heads-up. I thought I was signed up for emails from them. Lord knows I get emails from every other entity on earth.

My bad..... A friend sent me a link to a sale at AIM Surplus for the same optic, for $49.95. They were the ones sold out. I see that Primary Arms has them. So maybe I'll still get one.

Someone please clue me in.
Everything I've read about red dots is to buy an Aimpoint that cost multiple hundreds of dollars, to buy one of lesser quality is a waste of money. This is not me speaking, simply what I've repeatedly read, most especially on M4Carbine.net.
So how can one that cost under a hundred dollars, even at full retail be acceptable assuming what the gun sages state on that other site?
Or, are they full of beans?

Absolutism reigns on the gun boards.
The question is "suitable" for what? I would not go to Iraq for a year with one of the budget red dots on my M-4, or equip a SWAT unit with them; I would certainly want an EOTech or Aimpoint that has track history of being rugged enough to withstand serious combat use (and it appears they have better/crisper dots and other small but significant advantages).
But to put on a rifle for fun and try out a red dot, I think the budget ones are just fine. For example, on one of the other gun boards I haunt several people noted they were taking advantage of this sale to get red dots for their 10/22s. I doubt they are running into combat with those.
Even the $80 price was holding me back, but for $50 I'm going to put one on my AK and see how I like it, experiment with it, before I go toss out $500 for a "real" one. Shoot, the mount is going to cost me more than the sight. Anyone know of a sale on Ultimaks?

By the way, I think it was AndyC posted a link to a comparison of budget red dots awhile back. The Bushnell TRS-25 and the Primary Arms MD-06 were the top two, with a slight, probably insignificant edge to the Bushnell. But the Bushnell is still $80 at the moment.

ELB,
A big hearty THANK YOU!
I may buy one of these at Primary Arms if they aren't sold out.
I'll put it on my KISS Colt LE 6920.

I did a quick research without result...
Anyone know the difference between the MD-06 or MD-06L?
Thanks!

From what I could tell the 06L has a threaded extension for a "killflash"
