What are your opinions about putting some lettering on a car to advertise your CHL classes? Why not? Why?

Do you think this invites a car break in thinking there are guns in it? Is this over caution?

What about house robbery? Cars parked in garage aren't visible?

I've seen several people do it.

Not so sure that I would.

I would rather keep a lower profile.
Why advertise your hole card?

Use magnetic signs.

If you advertise on your car you can write off some of it on taxes.

It a great way to advertise and free after the cost of the original sign. I'm just a little concerned it might be an invitation to someone breaking into the vehicle. Don't know if that's really a concern or not

I see it as an invitation to false claims of brandishing a gun by some driver who you happened to upset on the road any particular day.

That could be said of NRA stickers. That's why even though I'm a member, I don't put them on the car...besides they'd take space away from my "This car protected by Smith and Wesson" and "Go ahead, make my day!" stickers.

You mean you don't have one that says, "Guns don't kill people, I do."?

I wouldn't put anything on my vehicle that broadcasts anything to do with guns that might inspire a break in and see what you might find type or yes, the false claim of "he pulled a gun on me" nutcases.

I don't put anything on my vehicle that states a philosophy, or my favorite hobby, or something cutesy.

Plastering personal vehicles with bumper stickers or signs is in poor taste anyway...

I had signage on my car for years but I can't say that it increased any business for me. I got a few phone calls complaining about my driving though...

I have a partial wrap on my truck. Company logos on the doors, logo on the back window, website and phone numbers on the sides of the bed and tailgate. I find that it tends to keep people away from me on the highway. Also a huge write off on taxes. However it did cause me to get the truck searched when I went through the front gate at Lockheed.

But I do realize that it is all personal opinion........

Seeing the fake bullet holes reminds me of the day my wife got three of 'em stuck on her Silver-Grey Durango by one of her teachers as a joke. They looked realistic enough that the NPO (Neighborhood Police Officer) assigned to her school came in to see her, concerned that someone had shot at her and he hadn't heard about it!

Drop by Cabela's in far North Fort Worth, and you'll see two highly visible vehicles wrapped, advertising their CHL Classes. Hopefully they'll drop by and add to the thread.

But from a "civilian's outlook", I hear lots of folks commenting about those vehicles when they're in the market for CHL classes (note: I work at a high school in the Alliance area, so Cabela's is sort of the local candy store). People do notice the wraps - whether that causes folks to follow through with them is another story, of course.

You mean like this one?

I would say those graphics have more than paid for themselves, and also make the truck payment, too.

As far as making it more susceptible to break-in, I doubt it. Knock on wood!
