Hey! And I just got my IDPA card in the mail (with a nice cap to boot)
I'm definitely looking forward to the match! This will be my first time out (NOOB!), so I'm definitely going to keep my eyes open, watch and learn (Heck, I might even shoot!)
Do you think it would help if I came out early to help set up? I drive a mean staple gun...

Jim-
I encourage you to shoot. I would show up open minded with safety being the priority. I will bet you lunch that you have fun

There is always a wonderful "new shooter" orientation before the match....just make sure and ask around when you get there.

Let me be the first to welcome you to your new addiction

Jay and I are tenatively planning on driving down from Dallas to shoot with you this Saturday. The weather keeps getting better and better. Maybe we could organize another TxCHLforum squad to shoot together.

Update: We've been trying for three months to come down and shoot with you and gorge ourselves on oysters at Gilhoulies, but, alas, it is not to be.

On May 26, everyone be sure to let the good folks at the sign-in table know that you are a Texas CHL Forum member. There'll be a little something in it for you.

No; not a free gun. Sheesh. Something smaller...

Man, What a great match today. Great scenarios, temperature was perfect except for the intermittent short-term rain delays. Got to see a lot of members from this forum and they did very well. Skipprr, Thanks for the pins. It was neat to be able to identify forum members.

Oh, did I forget to mention that I left some of my DNA scattered over the range. Reinforced to me why a knife is a deadly weapon.

The match was a blast today...it was wonderful to see my friends from here and make new ones. The pins did allow me to identify two folks that I had never met! Thank you Skip.

Steve- I told you that knife looked sharp! I hope you heal quickly. If you must cut yourself.....at least you did it in syle with a Benchmade! :leaving

Darn! I forgot to mention at the sign-in table that I am a member of this forum. Oh well, a really good time anyway and I got to meet a lot of good folks, even if I did not know they were members of this forum. David G.

The scores for the May PSC-IDPA Match are posted at pscIDPA.com, along with a few test match photos. I hope to make the match photos a regular feature starting next month.

Thanks to all who joined us this month and to the match staff. I want to say a special thanks to Skiprr for the great TexasCHLforum buttons he designed and had made for all forum members at the match. We still have a good number left, so let us know at sign-up next month if you would like one. I have a photo of the button in the match photos.

Good luck to all participants in the 2007 Texas State IDPA Championship next weekend!

That would be a loooong drive for a shoot. I think it would be worth the effort for the visit. Yall keep me tempted for month.

I look forward to you coming down sometime......it is a lot of fun!
