Just issue them a replacement.

Thanx ! I've just never had anyone lose theirs since I strictly tell them.."PLEASE DO NOT LOSE YOUR 100 !"

I do not sign the copies of CHL100 I keep/archive. If a student loses his/hers, I make a copy, sign it and mail/deliver to said student. I understand the CHL100 is supposed to have original signatures.

My CHL-100s are generated automatically when I import the student registration data from CHLregistration.com. The forms already have my signature for classroom and range, so I have them in electronic form if someone needs a replacement. I just email them, the student signs it and uploads it to DPS. I've had this happen a few times, but it's is rare. DPS accepts instructor signatures in this form. I print 3 CHL-100s per student and keep one, but I have the student sign all three. This way I have a signed copy if DPS needs one from me and the student can't forget to sign the one they mail or upload to DPS.
Chas.
PS: Yes, I own CHLregistration.com but I'll brag a little anyway. It provides for online registration, including payment of fees if you wish, plus all CHL-100s and the CHL-8 for every student/class is created by clicking one button. The electronic files generated are a great archive for all of your classes. It also creates a sign-in sheet, identifies PayPal students and the date they registered (handy if you want to reconcile your PayPal account per class), and even creates a merge print source document for class name badges. Both the sign-in sheet and the name badge indicate whether the student has paid the class fee -- very handy when students arrive for the class and sign-in. You can sign up for a monthly subscription, or an annual subscription at a reduced rate. All proceeds go to support my legislative efforts and special projects.
