Rob us - We will pay for your college education

A family that was robbed in the Houston Memorial Villages by two men who posed as UPS delivery men, has offered to pay for the College Education of the two robbers, once they have been caught convicted and served their time.
Not sure if this is just a way to get attention to their case, or they are wanting to save the world and feel this is the way, by sending one criminal at a time to college.

A criminal with a college education? Wouldn't that just make them politicians?

This is naive Liberal thinking at its very worst. No decent person, no matter how desperate, would commit such an act, and there is no rehabilitation other than permanently removing them from society,

I'm a bit surprised with the push-back my post here as "Richard Priest" is receiving To me, some of the members seem to have a "turn the other cheek"/"bleeding heart" mentality that one usually doesn't encounter to this degree in a CHL/self-defense forum:

The family's sentiment most likely arises from either the coddling "Bleeding heart Liberal" or forgiving "Compassionate Christian" mindset, which ironically are on opposite ends of the political spectrum. I'm tending to think they're more of the first type, but I could be very wrong. Personally, I have more respect for the second.

It sounds like the offer is contingent on the robbers turning themselves in.

They do not understand the mindset of the criminal. The criminal has chosen this path, either because that was how they were raised (Big crooks breed little crooks) or they have chosen it as a career path.
The criminal doesn't think like law abiding individuals. Crooks think that work is for suckers, and are laughing their tails off at this offer, because studying is work. When you interview career criminals you quickly learn their social morals are 180 degrees opposed to law abiding people.
Can people turn around? Sure, but never let optimism overcome experience.
