In an amendment to its tough gun control laws, the Russian government eases restrictions, allowing citizens to carry licensed weapons for the purposes of ‘self-defense.’

Until now Russian gun enthusiasts were only permitted to carry firearms for hunting or target shooting after obtaining a license through the Interior Ministry. Russian gun licenses are to be renewed every five years, and applicants face strict background checks and are required to take gun safety courses.

Still no good, you can buy a gun in Russia, and you have 10 days now to export/leave with it. Nothing for carrying while in the country, darn. Oh well, way to go Ruskies, getting your rights back! I would like to see their murder rate drop massively, that would be a good proofing for us over here that guns in citizens hands really do prevent crime.

Hahaha, no, I have no intention of going to prison, nor do I ever have any intention of going to Mexico. It would be nice though, I like Russia, but... <EDIT> It's not always the friendliest place to outsiders.

That would be a good way to start better relations! Why not try? What's the worst they can say, NO? I vote we increase interactions, as our two countrymen do not differ too much these days. Heck, it seems that Russia as a whole is more dedicated to faith then we! I can't remember seeing our president talk about God, let alone the Glory of our God, but Vladimir Putin does. Our Godlessness is what is bringing it down. We don't need just some God, we need The God, who is My God, and your God, whether you accept it or not.

(Sorry for going a bit overboard, I am not asking for replies to this. I am not attempting to force anything upon anybody, and I am saying IMHO what I believe.)
