It was a great match. I met a lot of great folks, shot up a LOT of ammo, saw more mud than would be needed for a bog race and brought home a nice plaque for the wall.
It was a good day. The adrenaline still hasn't worn off and I can't sleep.

Congrats to Jbirds1210, Age Ranger, Gfmun, SRVA, Compvest, AggieMM, txaggie and others whose handles escape me at the moment, that took home trophies.

Extra congrats to Jbrids1210 and Age ranger for getting promoted to Sharpshooter!

In spite of ankle deep mud, I saw compvest and jbirds shoot the best match they have every shot. compvest got High Lady and (as HV stated) jbirds was bumped to SSP Sharpshooter. It was great fun a very long day.

You know it is going to be a fun match when you have to rinse your magazines in a bucket of water to clean them after each scenario.

I couldn't do better than 4th place in my div/class, but there is always the next match. A great time was had by all.

I find it ironic that you shot SSP but won an ESP only gun. I'm thinking it's time for you to get classification #2.

Ironic or not, I also won one of those "bottom-feeders". I am not, however, going to get another classification, I am going go try harder to give you a run for your money in the future.

By the way, I sure enjoyed visiting with you yesterday. What did you say you used to fill the hole in your speedloader, and what did you use to grind down the base? I hope to get the chance to visit with you again soon; are you coming down to PSC at the end of this month for the forum "get-togher"?

David,

I enjoyed visiting with you as well. Not sure if I will be at PSC this month but the September shoot is on my calender.

On the speedloaders, I "improvised" when filling the hole in the middle. I tried to use epoxy and it didn't hold up. I am using small plastic clips that hold weatherstripping onto a car door. Yes, I am using car parts to make my speedloaders faster.
As fare as cutting them down, I used a hacksaw and a dremel tool. Brutal but effective. A belt sander would've been much better suited to the job.

If the labor day regional match in conroe happens, I may see you there!

Thank you all for the congrats..I really do appreciate it. I shot with the best folks in the world...As always, I learned a great deal from them.

My congrats to everyone that shot the match! Getting out of the car and registering proved devotion! LOL

I witnessed some amazing shooting! WOW! This forum was definitely well represented. It was wonderful to put some more faces with names.

My Wife and the long list of friends present at this match made it an absolutely wonderful day. Rain, mud, heat.....none of that really matters.

The memories with you guys at that match will last a lifetime. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it.
