The terrible thing is I agree with some of what that idiot spews. I believe I have a Constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

I would consider praying to my Maker that nothing I did would ever approach the social unease this guy causes, but it would be a waste of the Great Architect's ear. Nothing, absolutely nothing, would make me carry a firearm in an unreasonable way intended to cause peaceful fellow citizens to feel endangered.

It's a gun safety issue, if nothing else. If I display a weapon in an aggressive way, then... Ah, forget it. It's all so stinkin' obvious. Those who have no respect for what a firearm means have no business carrying them.

Constitutional rights are at the mercy of due process, and they are also properly restrained by appropriate responsibility.

Am I missing something? A Class A misdemeanor is only disqualifying for 5 years, right? His conviction was in 2000. If he's still ineligible, there has to be something else.

I did not say rights are absolute. Licensing a right thereby giving permission to exercise the right sets the precedent for licensing all rights. As we so often state, these requirements we go through to carry do nothing to prevent those inclined to break the law from carrying. The clowns we all know and love who have sullied the OC debate are prime examples. Embracing the status quo and not advancing our RKBA because someone will break the law is absurd.

Seems as though they intentionally led people to believe he is currently ineligible for a CHL, but don't have any proof to back that up.

I believe he reset the clock when he & his wife were arrested back in September. Interfering with duties of a police officer IIRC. More info here:
