Situational training from video

Watch the video FIRST before you read the text of the article so you see events unfold in the blind as the participants did. Then ask yourself how would you react/respond to similar situation.

Man is pointing a handgun at another man he says has a knife who is prone on the ground. Onlookers then get involved.

While everyone is distracted, pick their pockets or jump their claim in line at the Starbucks? Seriously though, the wife and I were taught in our first CHL class that 1. You don't know what the situation is; 2. You're not the police; 3. You don't know if other bad guys are about. Get secure and be a good witness while calling the professionals.


CPD is oblivious and would have just kept walking.
It would be interesting to see how many teenagers would notice enough to look up from their cell phones. I know mine wouldn't.

Since the security didn't shoot him, I think he did fine. The guy still got his bike back which is good. Not sure trying to get your bike back by pulling a knife is a good idea in the first place.
