This is a Henry Repeating Arms "Big Boy" Mare's Leg. Beautiful brass receiver, and gorgeous blued octagonal barrel and beautiful wood stocks. Has had only 10 rounds through it. Action is awesome. Plus includes an new custom DM Bullard holster with cartridge loops for the 45 Colt. I will also add several 4 boxes of Hornady ammo in this deal.
$650 for the entire package. Its not a typo. Just looking for a good home for it. :)

Yes its the Mare's Leg. Thanks for mentioning that....had to update it. I found a surprising number of folks dont know what a Mare's Leg is lol

Interesting. I have never fired a mare's leg. Going to do some backing in Wyoming and Montana and this gets the gears turning in my head.
A few questions. Can you shoot Ruger only loads in this? +P stuff. How does it carry with the holster? I assume that is one of the leg holsters that come with it. Does it distribute the weight well or does it feel like a 5 pound weight on one side. I ask because I plan to go backpacking and this might be a better solution to a shotgun in a scabbard. But I don't know if hiking 5-10 miles a day could this be an option? I am a younger man in good shape but I know that every pound adds up. Not much weight difference but defiantly more compact.

I dont know about +p ammo. It likes Winchester hollow points. The holster is top quality thick leather. Always liked DM Bullard leather. I have never worn the holster. I got it to be used as more of a scabbard but never got around to taking it out. Its designed to be worn as a belt holster but I would have used it as a back scabbard.
