Well, at least it's a defensive scenario one is quite likely to encounter...

Skipper: I am not sure what you mean. They were shooting USPSA which is a pure shooting sport and is not based upon any defensive situation. David G.

Adding the second spinner with cardboard silhouettes to the star is darned near evil --- unless you can clean it --- then it's cool!

I'd just hand my gun to the safety officer and let him/her shoot it. I am not allowed to pump my own gas in Oregon so why would I have to humiliate myself on the Oregon Star?

Ya I think I would run out of ammo, before I could finish.

Yeah. Just my own bias. But I have to think the first IPSC president, before his death, wasn't pleased with where the organization ended up 30 years later. And, obviously, some of the other "Columbia Conference" weren't either.
But "practical" is still in the IPSC/USPSA name, so I reserve the right to poke a little fun so long as it is...

The Oregon Star doesn't really look like a Defensive Situation but
It does remind me of an episode of "The Unit". Where a high school is taken over by terrorists.
Hey, it was on "The Unit" so it must be 'Reel'
This USPSA Stage isn't a Defensive Senerio but it might be an Offensive one.
And it does help you answer the question:
Do you have the shooting skills necessary to take on 7 terrorists with at least two hostages that are too dumb to 'get down'?
It looks like fun.

If we could just get John Satterwhite's attention, we might find out!
Major, sir! Do you have a response?

'Course it does! And from a small initial comment I never intended denigration to run-and-gun fun stuff.
IPSC was founded when I was 24; its first president was Jeff Cooper; and it was born based on his ideas of "practical pistolcraft."
Coop might not recognize some of today's USPSA scenarios. I think that's why, in part, IDPA membership has been growing exponentially while USPSA has been...quieter.
