The above link is to about a 3.5 minute video taken by a tenant's loved one.
The man standing by the red pickup is an Iowa CHL, a Vietnam veteran, who is having an
argument with his tenant, from across the front lawn of the rented property.
The tenant walks toward the landlord, with empty hands. The landlord draws his
pistol, brings the tenant to the ground, and holds the pistol against him. A comment is made
that the landlord had his finger on his trigger, but this is not verifiable given the distance
from the camera.
The landlord claimed that his tenant advanced on him while carrying a large knife. The video
shows the tenant with empty hands. A large knife was found on the property THE NEXT DAY.
IMHO, the CHL does appear to be in the wrong. He was arrested. It appears to me that he
turned a verbal argument into one which he intended to win by drawing down on the unarmed man.
That's not the right way to win an argument. It looks like the landlord is on his way to becoming
a "former Iowa CHL".
YMMV.
