Begs to question why now does he need to figure out how?
This is a very, very terrible situation," Andy Berke, the city's mayor told reporters. "I'm very concerned about what's going on. We need to figure out how to handle it."

Apparently everyone at the all branches center is ok. Someone shot from a car at the building. An officer is down. Developing.

NBC's Pete Williams reports that five people have been shot: one police officer, and four Marines.
This post on another forum contains an interesting picture of the Recruiting Office front doors. As the poster says, notice anything?

Maybe not -
“We are treating this as an act of domestic terrorism,” said Bill Killian, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee.
Despite Killian's statement, an FBI Special Agent Ed Reinhold told reporters that it may have been a criminal act.

Fox News is breaking new ground. A guest being interviewed called the shooter's rifle a "heavy weapon." I guess "assault rifle" doesn't sound mean enough any more.
All that aside, our fearless leader is waiting with baited breath until he can pronounce this workplace violence.
Another tragic example of service members unable to protect themselves because of political correctness.
Prayers for the families.

Sailor...USN.
I don't know about others, but I'm really tired of politicians, bureaucrats, and even the military saying that troops don't need to be able to protect themselves.
In an ideal world, a law would be passed disarming the Secret Service, Capitol Police, and all other protective details and make it illegal for politicians and anyone over the rank of Captain to own or carry a firearm. What is good for the goose, is good for the gander.
