Hello everyone,
I am a newbie to this forum but am very impressed with what it has to offer. I have a question about the instructor certification wait time. I applied to be an instructor June 18th and submitted all paperwork required. I haven't heard anything since I received the paperwork verification that same day. When I try to check my status online; I see nothing except a spot to apply online. However, I don't have a Texas DL (which is what it asks for when you log in). I am a resident of CO for now but my family and everything I know is in Texas (CO is my temporary home). My question is, is this normal when applying for the CHL and instructor certification? Should I just sit and continue to wait for the mail? How am I supposed to know if everything went through or if it is lost in cyberspace? The other question I have is, how long is the wait to get into the DPS instructor class? All they would tell me was "it is a long wait." Not sure what the definition of "long" is. A month, 6 mos., year, 10 years?? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Randi
