Many people have little or no exposure to weapons, Williams said, but should not be worried about people with a concealed handgun license.
“These are the squeaky clean people in society,” he said. “They have to undergo a very rigorous background check to even get that license, it’s not something that DPS and the state are just giving out to people.”
Williams said the percentage of people with a CHL who get in trouble is small.
That's the nicest thing someone has said about me (us) for a long, long time. I think I'm gonna cry.

I wish that I could read it. The text appears only to be covered up a couple of seconds later by a huge block. I've tried multiple browsers with the same result.

Run & hide...(until we get there)....I get a kick out of the campus or any PD for that matter referring to us as civilians. What to they think they are ( a special club). Even the military refers to them as a civilian police force. They think carrying a gun and wearing tacticool garb sets them apart I guess.

Oh, I know what the definition propagated by the PDs in the dictionary is. There should be no delineation between the general population and the POs. Heck, they aren't even ranked in the in the top 10 of dangerous jobs. So you the "boy in blue" club? I always show them respect, but no more than anyone else out in the work force.

Given my generally dim views of university/college administrators these days, I'm hoping he keeps his job.
