I have a Benchmade HK 14850 Epidemic double-action out-the-front switchblade for sale. Single-edge blade, legal for carry in Texas. I will only ship or sale this to another Texas resident. I bought one of these knives back in 2007 and it has been a great knife. I picked this one up for a spare, but I am needing the funds now more than I need an extra knife. $175 shipped, or FTF if in the Irving.
PLEASE EMAIL:

These pictures are of the knife I bought. The knife I am selling is LNIB and is an exact copy of the one below.

I've been contemplating an automatic but I'm a little hesitant. How stiff is that trigger? Without a safety, it seems like the potential is there for a really bad day if you bump it the wrong way.

I have carried mine almost everyday for the past few years and I have had zero problems. It takes a deliberate act to make it engage. No keys or cloth is going to cause it to be deployed.

I cannot speak for this particular model, but the Infidel models are not that dangerous. The blade can be stopped by a piece of thin cardboard. I have no doubt it would break the skin, but I cannot see it being a danger.
OK, thats reassuring. I've carried a folder for decades, but im a complete novice with these.

I'll have to admit that I had concerns about carrying an OTF knife.
I saw video on youtube where they put a piece of chewing gum [still in wrapper] and deployed the blade.
It went through the gum maybe 1/4 inch and stopped.
The slide mechanism needs to move a distance before the spring mechanism is engaged.
Because I am left-handed I like this style.
In my experience it is difficult to find knives designed for lefties.
Since the trigger mechanism is on the top, and the clip can be mounted on either side, it is truly ambidextrous.
