I took the class on Saturday, and I mailed my packet this morning.

July 8, 2007 - Processing Application
July 25, 2007 - Application Completed - license issued or certificate active
July 30, 2007 - License received

I was going to start spouting advice, but I see you've been lurking quite a while. Longer than I have, in fact.
So instead, I'll ask a question -- what do you plan to carry?

The way the DPS has been doing here lately you should have it in about 40-45 days. Hope so anyway.

I'm planning on carrying my nickel model 19 S&W when I can cover it up and my model 640 S&W when I can't.

Very speedy, good choice on the 19 as well. Couple of my gun buds that hang around here carry the 19... I had to be different and pick the Ruger SP101. You'll be off to Wally World in no time1

You mailed yours in 4 days before I did.. so hopefully I'm nearing the end of the tunnel as well. Of course, with my luck I'll be one of the 90 day guys

Lucky dog! I mailed my packet in on June 25th as well and yet they are still "Processing Application" for me! :(
