So OCT, I assume Grisham, is claiming to have (or be planning) a lawsuit in the federal circuit. They claim that they have attempted to contact the NRA for help but have not gotten a response. Maybe there's a lesson in this if it's all true, that lesson would be don't attack some one, talk trash, lie, and claim to have resigned membership while claiming to be a life member when it is convenient. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even bother asking the NRA for help at all, but wanted to make the claim to further their own agenda. There is more to their post, however I clipped it off as it was essentially an advertisement for a prepaid type legal service.

Expect more of their stupid antics after Jan 1st to force getting arrested.

I really, really, really cannot stand those people. They act like a bunch of tough guys, pretend they're pushing for "freedom" or "rights" or some such. All they are really doing is stirring up a bunch of trouble where none of us needs any. I am perfectly fine with licensed OC at this point. I plan on carrying "semi-open carry" (OWB, shirt mostly covering it) and I don't need them making that a pain in my neck because they stirred up law enforcement officers about it. I'm looking forward to not having to have my carry inside my waistband anymore.

The post is a lie. I'm on the NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund Board of Trustees. Every attorney requesting assistance receives a letter either granting the request in whole or part, or advising that the request cannot be granted.

CJ at one time claimed to have received a lot of money donated to his defense fund. Why does he need more? His appeal in State court is also pending at this time.

Other than pointing out OCT lies, here on the board, what can be done to stop OCT's lies?

Unfortunately we can only call them out on it.

Agreed. A very wise old local WWII Veteran once said "If the pot don't stink, Don't stir it". Unfortunately, some people like slinging stink around.

Without regard to the rest of his...story....IF he is truly trying to get this issue before the 5th Circuit, that would be a good thing yes? Emphasis on the BIG IF.

It would depend on the specifics of the case and how he and his attorneys plan to argue it. Also remember that you can never tell how a court will rule, and with CJ's history he would probably plan an armed march out side the court house to educate them on the second amendment before the hearing...

Yes, understand that he might do something stupid, crazy, etc. and agree that is even likely. Was mostly focusing upon that we've talked about before how this issue hasn't yet been before the 5th. Guess we'll have to see if that even materializes because since Chas. indicates that the rest of the statement if false (referring to the NRA), then there's probably no reason to believe that the other part is factual.

This. Even if he was doing something altruistic OCT would probably screw it up by calling for unlicensed operation of tanks and having a demonstration carrying tank sized bananas or something stupid.

This guy is running to represent my district. I hope there is someone else on the ballot.
