Had a question come up on this. My thoughts would be this covered complex office and facilities, but not one's apartment. Am i correct on this ?

Yes, you are correct. A 30.06 would not prevent you from carrying in your apartment. The legislature has not made any distinction between carrying in apartments or houses. There is even some thought (though not legally tested) to carrying in communal areas which, presumably, belong to all residents. However, the lease may state that the you cannot own/possess firearms, in which case you could be evicted for breach of contract. The standard TAA lease states:

20. You, your occupants, and/or guests may not the following activities:
(a) criminal conduct; manufacturing, delivering, or possessing a controlled substance or drug paraphernalia; engaging in or threatening violence; possessing a weapon prohibited by state law; discharging a rearm in the apartment communi- ty; or displaying or possessing a gun, knife, or other weapon in the common area in a way that may alarm others;

So if it's a standard TAA lease, I'd say you don't have anything to worry about when in comes to CC (concealed being concealed and all that). Open Carry may, however, be an issue if there are posted 30.07 signs.

If it's not a standard TAA Lease...... Well, read the fine print.
