You should have your instructor certificate with you when you leave the range on the last day. You could offer a class the same day, if you chose to do so.

Welcome to the forum.

From what I've heard (here), they're not doing that anymore.

May not have the paper cert that day, but if you pass, you will be good to go.

Welcome!

I was told during the class that we can not conduct any classes until we receive our cert in the mail and have it in hand. Mine took about 3 months to arrive.

I also have been told that you must have your certificate in hand, just like when you get the CCL.I was also told patience was a virtue, but I fail miserably when it comes to being vertuous. :???:

I just called Austin and they said we have to wait til you get certificate in hand. It's mailed out 7-10 business days after completing course. The longest she's seen it take was 30 days though, but said that's not often. Guess it's hard to get things started till you get everything in hand. Once again. ...... hurry and wait lol

I guess in looking back, it was closer to 30 days. Actually 36 until it arrived in my mailbox. It sure seemed like a longer wait though.

My recommendation is to do everything you can to prepare for your class until your cert arrives. Unfortunately, you will not be able to access the course outline until you have the password on the back of your cert, so you will not be able to complete your presentation, but you can still work on the numerous other aspects of your business. I do not know the scope of your business thus far, but if you are just starting, your could work on things like:

1. Setting up any company structure, i.e. sole proprietorship, LLC, S-Corp, etc...
2. Get insurance
3. Locating training facilities, both class and range
4. Set up bank and merchant accounts
5. Identify and purchase training aids and other components necessary to conduct your classes
6. Numerous other things one could link of while they sit staring at the mailbox waiting on their cert.

Good luck in the new venture, in the New Year!
