I haven't gotten the full story yet but from what I have found Hickok45's youtube channel has been deleted. Alledgedly his videos made it to google+, and apparently google+ doesn't allow guns? He says that he did not post the videos there either. Many of you that watch his videos know that he is just a very laid back older man that posts very informative gun reviews. I hope he gets this straightened out, I am sure going to miss his videos. Do any of you attorneys that frequent this site know of anythjng he could do/ even we could do?

He's the absolute best gun reviewer on the net.

Apparently, Google + is more sensitive about firearms related postings and such. I never use Google+ and did not even realize the videos were being posted over there, I guess. I will keep you posted via Facebook here and the Hickok45andson channel. I have communicated with YouTube via email this morning, and hopefully, we'll be able to get the channel back up soon. I had just posted a new video.

my assumption was it had to do with "selling items and advertising"
since he thanks his sponsors and buds sells his test items sometimes....but maybe i'm completely wrong

If that was true there are hundreds of thousands of other users that break that rule everyday and need to be shut down as well. I mean many times when I need to turn a wrench on my truck there is a 1aauto.com tutorial with an advertisement to buy their products. I don't think it is because of that at all.

i know youtube in particular had been going after some users so they could get a bigger slice of the pie, that was why i had the initial speculation.

I hope this gets straightened out quickly. He is a really great reviewer, I enjoy watching his videos.

That stinks. And I just watched two of his videos last night too.

Very strange that Google would shut down Hickok's Youtube account due to some other user on Google+ who was posting Hickok's videos.

Seeing as how Google own's both Youtube and Google+ and how most accounts are now linked via a google user id and password. It would seem like they would shut down the other user's google+ and leave Hickok's youtube channel alone.

We do a lot of business with Google. They're very large, almost have a monopoly in some areas, and have very deep pockets. Generally, they do as they wish. Difficult to fight an org with that type of market control, legal expertise, and financing.
