Neiman Marcus is in the Houston Galleria which bans both open and concealed carry. Victim was 61 years old. This happened at the Post Oak entrance,

A new upscale shopping center without a mall has been built across 610 from the Galleria. Many of the high end stores are locating in this shopping district rather than the Galleria.

There have been problems at the Galleria in the last five years which include unscheduled closings due to overcrowding http://www.click2houston.com/news/hpd-t ... rge-crowds

The Galleria appears to be at the beginning of a downward trend hard to say it can be reversed, but keeping out concealed carriers is not going to help.

Here's a link to the top story. I think they must have updated it and changed the title.

A witness detained Roy until police officers arrived to take him into custody.
Would be nice to know how the witness was able to detain him.

One article said that the witness tackled and sat in the suspect until police arrived.
