Would love to make it, but I am already otherwise directed by she who must be obeyed to spend the day doing "family things" :nono:

Intersting. I'm off that day, so far.

What does it take to be "in?" Is it a class that must be signed up for or do we just show up and sign up that day? How much ammo would one need to have? More information would be helpful.

Found the answers here. http://topguntexas.com/classes/

That is a great looking class. I think I'd like to wait until by BIL gets his scope on his new rifle and then get him to take the class with me since we shoot together a lot. I think I'll pass on this class at this time. Also, I notice it says that reloading equipment and components should be brought and I don't have any of those yet. However, I suspect those wouldn't really be a requirement.

This is not competition, nor LR shooting class. However, I can coach any first time shooters.

No, formal class to sign for. Just show up, meet and greet folks there. Pay range day fee. Bring your rifle and ammo, the amount is up to you. I may bring 2 rifles. and Around 100 rds for each. That is a lot of ammo for a PSR.

Not the formal class? I'm a definite maybe then leaning towards a yes.

Changed my vote to yes. I'll see ya'll there unless something changes at work.

Now, about the second rifle thing. To do the LR stuff, do they require a scope? I was thinking about bring the Garand, Enfield, or K31. The K31 might be the better rifle at distance, but I don't have much ammo for it. I do have enough for the Garand for a day like this.

For sure they would let you shoot it. However, if you would like to shoot long distances, they "may" require you to qualify at 200yrd to shoot at 300yds and so on.

I would expect that and have enough ammo do that. Guess I'll also bring the Garand.
