Does the exclusion in TPC46.03 extend to the Precinct Conventsion or does it end when the polls close at 1900 or the last voter in line votes.
Our convention will be held in the same room as the polling place and start at 1930. That ought to be enough time for the last person to vote but I'm not sure if the exclusion will still apply.

I think it still applies as it says in the law, at a polling place on the DAY of voting, not during voting hours

Thanks I would agree that it probably cover the whole day.

(2) on the premises of a polling place on the day of an election or while early voting is in progress;
"Premises" means a building or a portion of a building.
If the portion of the building you are in is not being used for voting, I don't believe you are in violation.
I early voted at a grocery store today. Had I been there to grocery stop and stayed away from the area being used for voting, I don't believe I would be in violation by carrying. However, since I was there and went to the "portion of the building" being used for voting, I could not carry.
