BANK CHL declined

Entered local Texas bank today to make a transaction. Was carrying a TOTALLY concealed handgun. During the transaction, local police entered (triggered by bank person) and confronted me. Police said any handgun in a bank was illegal. No 30.06 or 30.07 signs were displayed at front or back door.
Giving up my CHL...License doesn't mean anything.

Doesn't seem like it was totally concealed if the teller called on you.
Did the bank have a FDIC sticker on the window?

Time to file a complaint with the police chief.

How did the bank even know you are carrying? But yeah I'd be setting up a meeting with someone higher up to inform them their officers needed more training. I would also close my account.

I think all LE agencies need to send their officers to training concerning the LTC laws in general. Since returning to law enforcement I am amazed at the number of officers that do not fully know the laws concerning LTC.

Yep.
And in his ONE other post, from 2010, he asked a question that Charles Cotton would have very adequately covered in his class - which the OP took - and in 4 pages of posts in answer to his question, he never responded to any of them.
SURELY he at least
considered thanking people for the trouble they took on his behalf?

Yes, I saw that and that's puzzling.
Why would someone sign up to a gun forum, ask a question, and then bounce for almost 6 years.
Then come back, ask yet another question that makes no sense at all contextually.
I guess will hear back in 2022 (slight sarcasm), Lord willing.

Yeah, I hear you. It's hard to give up something you never had, eh?

It's been a slow day on the forum so we needed a troll to liven it up a bit.
