One group of men wanted gold chain from another man. He refused. Memorial City is in West Houston and has tons of security. I don't know if security guards are armed though. The off duty HPD is of course armed. Not sure if the Target is 30.06 and 7. They used to just have a gunbuster sign. I have shopped here a lot.

No one hurt except for the cars.

Over the weekend I had two friends who told me that they almost went to that location at the time of the shooting.

One missed the freeway exit and decided to go directly home.
The other was going to meet a friend for cheesecake, but changed her mind at the last minute.

Sometimes you miss being at the wrong place by serendipity.

Picture of a woman's car with four bullet holes. Apparently the BG didn't shoot very accurately or was aiming at the car as a nice close pattern.

I was just at Memorial City and noticed as I walked in that it is posted for 30.07 but not 30.06.

Well, thank goodness for that, at least.

It's a good thing I'm not a big jewelry buyer, so many of those stores think that bad guys will be kept out with a 30.06 sign :grumble
