calipers

Is this caliper good?
It's the least expensive one, but if it's junk, I'd like to know.

It's the exact one I have. Yes it's cheap but it is good and more than adequate for what it's intended for. I will admit that I have retired this one for a digital caliper, but only because the digital was a gift from a reloading friend. You picked a winner.

its the same one that I just sold with all the reloading stuff I had , I used it for over 7 years and its right on the money everytime.

ditto here. Reloading Calipers do not need to be near the quality as for machine work.

Check out Harbor Freight Tools they sell a similar caliper to that one that you can get on sale for about 12-15 bucks. I have one it works fine and is quite accurate.

Whatever you do, don't even think of using calipers in place of a wrench!

I've seen it done by alleged "engineers" at work . . . and one individual actually was in the habit of using micrometers as C-clamps! :shock:

(They don't work here any more . . . :woohoo )
