Beautiful guns. I love walnut and blued steel! If I had the dough I'd snap them both up even though I have a Daly and a Model 12 Duck gun already. My Winchester would look like a dog next to yours. Your Daly looks like the Field Grade by the engraving I can make out. I have a Superior; same bbl length and chokes bought in '67 or '68 and the Winny I bought when I was in high school for $50 and hunted with it on a water fowl lease a few years later. They shouldn't last to long.

The C/D is easily worth that, I'd say more.

It looks remarkably like my Browning Superposed made in 1959.

Thanks for looking and thanks for the comments. Yes, the Daly is a Field Grade. The Model 12 is in immaculate condition. Since Model 12's haven't been produced in the past 40+ years, many consider them to be a collector's item.

The PM has been answered

I was recently given a model 12, '29 vintage. Fine machine. I'm a fan. Yours is a beautiful example.

Your superposed is a Belgium made SG, but BC Miroku who made Daley O/U's from early 60's until 1976 began making Browning O/U's in 1976 when Miroku dissolved their Daly to go with Browning. They still manufacture them as well as other Browning's. They are fine SG's and OG is selling at a fantastic given the condition.

For anyone interested in O/G's Winchester Shotgun, I have seen it in person and will say it is pretty much flawless. Beautiful wood, deep bluing, a really first rate specimen.

Old Gringo is absolutely truthful and honest in his representation of his firearms. If anything....they will be better than described.

It was my pleasure to have met him today. It is a rarity these days to meet someone who so quickly puts you at ease. A Southern Gentleman and a man of obvious integrity.

Thank You for allowing my Brother and I first opportunity at the Charles Daly Shotgun, it is obvious....the care you took of it.

Also for your hospitality and entertaining stories. :tiphat:

Flint.
