One of Marquez's bullets struck the suspect's pistol, traveling straight down that gun's barrel and disabling it. Officials say such a shot is "one in a billion."

I have read of a number of circumstances such as this from WW1 and WW2 - but there would have been a lot more lead in the air in those instances! Amazing.

Chuck doesn't need to shoot to disable an assailant's gun - even from a distance.

The target crown might be slightly compromised, but who's to say you can't pluck that blob of lead out and carry on?
In theory, I'm sure this Glock will be tied up in evidence from this day forward.

I wonder if anyone will check if it's been damaged after the trial is over?

Well, I'll be. It sure is. No wonder it was disabled.

Ya know, I was surprised that just a single shot up the pipe would disable it. Just like that. NOW it all makes sense...
