I was looking at this for my Shield 9mm 8 round magazine. It would then make it 9+1.

I want this for my Shield 9. Very interested to see experiences... Thanks for pointing this thing out. At <$25 it's worth a gamble I think.

I went ahead an ordered one. If it is not reliable I will change it back. It is not a permanent thing so it can't hurt to change it out and go to the range.

Thanks for the link, I cannot answer your question for a week or 2 But I ordered 2 for my mouse gun a BG .380. I like the idea of another round and was willing to be one of the guinea pigs to see if they are worth the money. I increased the round count on my G42 up to 8. I do not carry mouse guns much but when I do ...

I put them in both mags for my Shield. They work great and the extra round is nice to have. I put them in the 380 Bodyguard and got the same great results.

I have one in my 7rd mag for my Shield. Wanting to get another one for my 8 round mag.

It works great. No feeding issues. Rock solid.

Kinda makes you think though; if it was 'that easy', why didn't S&W just do it themselves?

Remember that if this is what your depending your life on, you either better test the ever loving crap out of it or leave it stock . . . or carry a larger capacity gun? ;) I bought TWO Shields before reading the article about why a police officer now carries almost 90 rounds of ammo on his person now. I switched to my M&P .40 mid (15+1) since with a spare mag on my person + 2 in the car doors (1 each side)

I almost bought a couple of sets and then saw a comment like yours about life depending on it working every time.
Decided that I'd just load up and carry all 5 spare Shield magazines (4-8 and 1-7) with Federal HST ammo loaded- total of 48 rounds including one in chamber.

I'd like to see S&W come out with a 15 round extended magazine that could be your first reload!

I m not paranoid about using the manufacturers mags because I have never used any mags for my 1911 other than Wilsons. I also only use Magpul for my AR-15 and G2.

That being said I have put 150 rounds of WWB and 100 rounds of Federal 147gr HST through two mags so far. Zero problems other than they were hard to load the first couple of times.

I am still carrying the "factory" 8 round mags for now until I get more rounds through the mags with the Magguts springs.

I just ordered a 9 Shield and am curious as to how the MagGuts are working out for those that have tried them? Thanks!
