Since we do not appear to have a "Match" topic...

My one question to the IDPA'ers at PSC...

Can I get away with shooting my first match there with one spare magazine for the G23 I want to use Saturday...

I know it may be good to have two extra, but I do not have that many for the Glock...Just two total for now...

I guess as well since I am thinking of shooting unclassified, can I still get out there and compete???

I do have a SigPro 2340, with a full complement of mags, but I do not like to shoot that one as much as the Glock...

Any suggestions???

Stevie,

It's possible. The first time I shot there, I only had two mags for my Sig P239. But you'll really want to go buy two more mags as soon as you can.

You generally shoot two scenarios back to back... You shoot the first, reload and reholster, then shoot the second, which is right next to it. Each scenario typically requires two mags.

If you only have two, they may let someone else shoot while you're reloading. Or perhaps they'll wait while you top off. But it delays things a little.

Every one I've met there is really friendly. They've been especially patient with me as a new shooter. Have fun. Hope to see you there.

Scott

Steve:
Marc selected the scenarios for the Sept. match, so I don't know how many rounds will be required for the longest scenario. Call me Friday night and remind me to bring a mag for a G23.
