Marlin Golden 39A 'Mountie', not easy to find.

Made in 1967 (JM marked barrel) in very nice condition. Has one small scratch on receiver and the 'bullseye' in the bottom of the stock is missing (still available).

I've owned it for 30 years.

Prospective buyer will want to see additional pics, or view in person. Hard to get good pics without the 'highlights' looking like worn bluing. This is a much better than average rifle. Very tight, very accurate. I don't know the round count before I owned it, but I have put perhaps 500 rounds through it in the time I've had it. Nice rifle, well taken care of.

I'd say the bluing is close to 90%. Just need to see it for yourself.

That is a good price for a 39A Mountie. It's so good that I'd trade my Model 12 for it in a heartbeat.

Good price on a great little gun. I was looking for one a few years back and ended up with a 1970 Century Limited, which is very similar except for the octagon barrel and extra bling on mine (it is a shooter, though, so the bling doesn't really do anything for me). I'll have to ask my wife if the CL needs to have its older brother around... She is a bit of a lever action fan -- one of her first deer was taken with a Marlin 1894 .357 that we still have in the safe.

Dang, let me know if that doesn't go through... that Mountie looks sweet. Curious, did you put it on Texas Gun Trader too? I was looking there last night and saw one in your area.
