A very satisfactory ring! Thanks for posting Andy.
What kind of optics do you have on that rifle?

Very Coo, Andy. Thanks for sharing. How's the dove hunting going?AndyC wrote:I went out to my friend Rockie's property out in W. Texas Fri evening for a dove hunt, but I was actually more excited to try out the new 42" tall steel target (3/8" AR500 steel) I'd bought for him.
He and some friends have started to set up the lower section of his land as a shooting range (using the natural terrain, no bulldozing lanes or anything) and I wanted him to have something decent. I also wanted to have something of a known height so I could practice my ranging skills using the mil reticle on my Vortex scope... anyway, one of the guys said that with the bolt-holes at the top of the target it looked like Casper the Friendly Ghost, so that target is now officially known as Casper:
It was one heck of a job getting it there - a very steep grade and the stones were like stepping on marbles, so a lot of slipping, sliding and some (very mild) profanity occurred before we finally got it in place.

Very nice setup.
