I'm impressed how quickly CNN and New York news sites pick this up.

I'll be curious if they are still as interested after the facts all come in.
Alpine was the location I believe for one of the murders in "No Country for Old Men". It is really West Texas out there.

This site said it didn't know much about the incident and then just led right into a diatribe on guns.

Apparently a female shooting another female. The shooter then took her life.

Early reports said the friendly fire incident was a 'marshal' vs federal agent. Has this been cleared up any? My first thought was the school marshal program.
edit; otherwise, multiple agency response times in little Alpine, TX, is pretty impressive.

We've been to Alpine. A lovely, out of the way, place that one does not get to by accident. It is no country for old men.

I've always seen DPS and BP fairly well represented there, along with local LEOs.

Radio news was reporting that it was a Negligent Discharge. Is that the gun going off accidentally which is what I am assuming, rather than a friendly fire incident?
