I just think I would enjoy seeing Isis terrorists go up in flames.

Something about that story is amiss. Since it has been proven that it is highly unlikely that a gas can explode with a single gunshot. This has been tried and even when using incendiary round the gas tank would occasionally ignite, but not blow up.

I hope the kill was still successful tho.

Yeah the New York Post is not well known for its accurate reporting, but it would still be good if it were true.

A can full of gas may not explode when shot, but a pressurized container of flamethrower fuel may when hit by a .50 cal bullet. I wouldn't want to be standing close by and saying don't worry it won't explode if someone shoots it.

Apparently the NY Post picked up the story after it was originally published in a UK newspaper. However, some UK papers are about as credible as NY Post and National Inquirer.

Depending on the design of the flamethrower, some have a small starter flame at the tip of the flame projector, if that was the design on this paticular device then sure, vaporized fuel would certainly go full blossom

The tank might not explode, but if it was hit with a Raufoss round, it would certainly split wide open and be spitting flame everywhere.

I was merely responding to the storyline with out imagining any assumptions or what ifs.
