Status check shows no info. ..?

Hey. New here. I submitted my docs online a few weeks ago, had already been fingerprinted, etc. . I went out to check the status here
https://txapps.texas.gov/txapp/txdps/chl/
nd it let's me login but there is not status info at all. . Nothing about me or my app status? The only option is "start application" and beneath that the only option is to apply for instructor certification.
What am I doing wrong?!

Hi Lance, welcome to the forum! Glad to have you with us!
First of all the link you posted doesn't work There is no 'a' in https. Here's the good link:

Secondly, are you logging in as a returning user? If you are, you should come up the next screen that says something like 'please give us time to process your application' or words to that effect, which means your application is in process. Give it time.

Have you received an email from DPS saying they have received your documents? My status didn't start getting updated until I received that email and it was about 2 weeks after I uploaded all the docs.

Called them this morning. . .still nothing on the web. They confirmed that all is in order and it is in process. . .in the background check now. She said that sometimes the web doesn't get updated as regularly as it should.

As of yesterday (9/26) I can now see status. . All green except background check and send to print.

I applied for mine last year, and I never got any status updates. One day the website just gave me different options like change address/renew, and it was in my mailbox the next day.
