First Post/Last Post Snippets

A while back, we got the opportunity to "mouse over" the thread title and see snippets of the first and last posts. While this works (on my computer) for most threads, it does not work for others. Is it just me, or is this a site issue?

Yes TAM, it works for me on MOST treads, but not all. Hence my question.

The most likely answer is that it depends on your platform/browser combination. It could simply mean that your system is in need of a reboot to something. Maybe the system you're on which isn't doing it just needs the browser cache cleared. Who knows?

The first thing I noticed is that the one one that
didn't show the prompt displayed a different prompt noting that there were no new posts in that thread........so maybe it is tied to the activity in a thread:

- No new activity

Does not seem to be tied to activity. If I scroll down the list of "New Posts" it shows on some but not on others. There are currently 10 treads under "Ne Posts" It works on 7 of the 10. It does not work on "Gun beer" "Police Calm Millennial Protesters By Handing Out Participation Trophies" or "Army chooses Sig"

I was working from the "Active Topics" list. I'll take a look at the New Posts list.

From the New Posts list:

- First thread in list

- Third thread in list

Same here, but there are no new posts to the vast majority of the "New Posts" list, but the mouse over works on 7 of the 10.

OK, I just this minute made a "Test" post to the "Gun Beer" thread, and checked. The mouse over does not work.

I've noticed the same thing happening on some threads and not others. Sometimes when you put cursor on one it reads "Unread Post" Not big deal but kinda strange. Gun Beer does it to me also

It seems to me if the post is a link and no text that hovering over link does not display. Not sure about mixture of text and link or if text needs to be before link posted.
