One lucky guy

My wife and I will be celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary this weekend. I booked a suite in FW.
Yesterday we were discussing plans while we're there and the wife said, "Don't forget the Fort Worth gun show is this weekend."
What a way to celebrate a match made in heaven! I love that lady!

Congrats!! :cheers2:

Yep it definitely sounds like you got a keeper. You may need to buy her a new anniversary gun at the gun show. Or just pick out a "his and hers" matched set. :biggrinjester:

Just a note about the FW Gun Show, it'll be posted and the FW police will be there to zip tie firearms as a "safety precaution".

Could it be that, like my wife, she knows how much jewelry is available at the average gun show? I've bought more gifts for my wife thru gunshows than I've bought firearms for myself......whenever Saxet is in town and I come home with an inkstamp on the back of my hand, I get asked "Did you find/bring me anything?". :totap:

Had fun at the show. Ended up behind a couple who had two extra tickets and gave them to us. How cool is that?
Did some field research on 300 blackout uppers and AR10s (man those things are heavy). Also looked at 300 blackout ammo options.
Pretty much decided on a 300 BO upper as my next purchase but I think I can do better online price wise than what I saw at the show.
I did see a guy selling elaborate "oil traps". They looked very much like the designs some you guys have posted here on the forum. I didn't look long, but looked like a pretty complete "D" size kit for $140. I'll wait until the HPA passes before going that route.
The wife bought some jerky.

Attended the Fort Worth gun show today. What's up with the 30.06/.07 posting. I assumed the building was city or county owned????? Is this another of their day care, amusement park or arm's length ploys?
I searched the forum when we got home to see what was going on and found this thread. I'm not from the area and I'm used to no posting at gun shows in my home area of Houston. It's frustrating to see this sort of nonsense after walking up to the entrance. Are you saying FW police zip tie firearms that are brought in to sell or trade or are you referring to LTC? I'm familiar with open chamber zip tied guns carried for sale/trade.

The promoters are using the AG "arms length" opinion. Even though, the opinion clearly states that the signage is unenforceble. They don't want loaded guns there.

I went also, I won't say what my carry status was at the time, but I wish I had known you were going to be there would have been great to have met up with you. :tiphat:

I'll give you a heads up the next time I'm up. I, too will make no comment on my status. I was supposed to go to the show with my son-in-law's father, but he opted out at the last minute, so my son-in-law took me. He's not really a gun guy. I was engaged in a conversation that was a little lengthy and my son-in-law was looking very bored. The fellow I was talking with even commented that he looked bored. I went to Target Time on 1157 when I was up also. I only had about an hour to shoot. We had a full agenda for our three grand daughters - Grandparent's Day, Soccer practice, basketball games and twins birthday among other activities! I bought a H&R Topper in single shot .410 for future use by the grand kids for a little pawn shop near my daughter's home, too. LOL Ordered a youth butt stock from Numrich this morning.

If you are looking for a .300 blk upper check out sandersarmoryusa.com. Buy what they have built or design your own, I have two they built to my specs and they work great. Also just finished a build for grandchild where I bought all the parts from them for the upper and put them together. Great people to do business with and generally two day delivery.
