OK, here is the pertinent part of the Government Code for training in school safety officer stuff:

"Government Code 411.1901 on 5/19/2015

(c) A qualified handgun instructor certified in school safety under this section may provide school safety training, including instruction in the subjects listed under Subsection (a), to employees of a school district or an open-enrollment charter school who hold a license to carry a concealed handgun issued under this subchapter."

So private schools can't allow their teachers to receive this training?

IANAL But I believe they can, it's just not covered under this code.

Private schools are their own district.

If so trained under the School Safety Certification you are not an "Officer". You are an LTC with an additional certification.
