M&P vs M&P Performance Center vs C.O.R.E.

I am considering investing (ok, you caught me, spending money on a new range toy!)....

I really like the M&P Line and have several of them, so I am not interested in Glocks or Springfields or any others.

My question to the group is about benefits of the Performance Center or C.O.R.E. vs the standard M&P 4.25 (9mm).

yes, I have read a number of reviews, but none of them (1)are people I know or trust and (2)compare the M&P standard 9mm to the Performance Center (at least to answer my specific needs).

Is there a real benefit in the Performance Center or CORE vs the standard M&P?
Better trigger?
Better Sights?
Improved.....
Better.....

thanks for your real world use answers.

Friend of mine bought a performance center M&P 9; I shot it side by side with my standard M&P with an Apex trigger upgrade. While the performance center pistol was certainly an upgrade over the stock trigger, the Apex trigger was definitely better still.

There is the M&P 2.0 Not sure what are the latest modification.

You need to decide:
Size: Carry or range.
Grip: Does it fit your hand
Ergo: Can you fingers reach the actuators.
Trigger: Is it smooth, short on/off, not that heavy that you need to yank it.
Caliber: Today standard is ole 9mm.
Oh, for me the "looks" are important. Never bought a Glock nor a Hi-point.

The coffee is good this morning.. let make some more..

You definitely have to consider the M&P 2.0's improvements over the model 1.

I have the performance center shield as my edc. A few months ago the guy next to me at the range had the standard shield. We swapped for a bit to see the difference. My action is smoother, trigger is better and the ported barrel helps keep the muzzle down a lot better then I realized. I'm not a great fan of the fiber optic sights that came with it. I'm about ready to get a set of night sights for it.

I have a PC 45. Overall, I like it. The only minor complaint: The sights work well if there is bright light. If there's no bright light, then they're nothing special.
