45 Shield deal help

I'm adding another 45 to the family and I really like the M&p 45 shield. I had a chance to shoot one and loved the size weight and feel of the gun. Grip was grippy and it fit well in the hand. I would prob upgrade sights to night sights and go with the no safety model. I found one local for 389 plus tax out the door. Has anybody found any better deals on them anywhere else?

I think I saw them at budsgunshop.com for $389 as well. That's with free shipping and no tax (save about $30) but has to be shipped to your FFL. I've made a few purchases from Bud's and my experiences have been positive. Good luck with your search.

$389.00 is a good price. I added XS Big Dot Night Sights to mine. I have yet had a failure out of it.

What rig are you carrying it in? I don't want to end up like every other carry gun I have/had and buy two or three holsters before I find the right one. I have a family member who carries this gun but he carries in an uncle mikes foam holster or foam taco as I like to call it and I wouldn't trust that holster.

I use DM Bullard for almost all of my belt holsters. I use the Dual Carry so I can carry IWB or OWB.

Holy crap! I'd snatch it now but my dang credit card was compromised last night and it won't get a new one for 6-7 days. Do you think if I showed that price to the price match stores such as academy and a couple others they'd match it?

Bud's matches prices and I would think if a store advertised "price match" they would. In Texas you pay taxes from Grabagun, but not from Bud's. If Bud's matches the price and ships for free you may save money depending on what the FFL charges.

$389+ 8.25% =$421.10 OTD so $32 in tax. Buds to most of the FFLs around me would be $25 tnsfr so $414.00 Is it worth $7 or $8 to you to handle and walk out the door with it today? Also you are supporting your LGS. Is that worth $7 or $8.
I have a .45 Shield and love it. It has become my EDC. I use a Holster from MTR Leather and it works great for me. From my search, a lot of holster makers have holsters for the 9mm/40 Shield, but the .45 is just a little larger and has a very slightly different profile or a boned holster. The MTR is made to the .45 (if you use them, make sure which Shield holster you order)

At 389 I'd rather support local. But at 339$ online plus tax and still be under 400$ I'd rather go online. That's my dilemma. Since my credit card has been compromised and I had to cancel it and order a new one I can't order online so want may get the best of me and I get one from my LGS lol. hopefully I could withstand but we all know that bug bites hard

My FFL only charges $10.00 for a transfer. If you can't find a reasonable FFL I assume it would be better at a LGS, but Academy is not a LGS as for as I am concern and I do not have a family owned gun store on my area. I will save whatever I can save.

I've got a LGS that's family owned that are really good people it's almost worth just helping them out. But if I can save money then I will and my local ffl charges 15$

I recently purchased a gun at my local Academy. I used my phone to pull up the price of the gun on grabagun.com and Academy matched it, plus an extra 5% off that (saved me about $100, plus no wait and no FFL transfer fee).
The fine print of Academy's price match policy says they will match price on any regular price, in-stock item at any local store and at
certain on-line stores. Grabagun.com was not on their list of on-line stores that they would match, but my local Academy happily matched it anyway, without any hassle or haggling. May just depend on the manager at each local Academy.
I don't want to get your hopes up, but it worked well for me, so it might be worth a shot if you want to try it locally. If so, good luck.

When cc company says they will send you a new one tell them to Fedx it overnight. They always do.
