Notre Dame Cathedral: Man attacks cop with hammer

The officer defended himself from the attacker by firing his gun twice, police told Fox News. The attacker was reportedly wounded.
Don't tell the European leaders, but a good guy with a gun just stopped a bad guy.

glad to see the police at least got guns !
we will be there visiting Paris for 4 days at the end of the month ...i wish i can carry there.

When will they ban those high capacity assault hammers? They at least need a stricter background check on them

The man who attacked an officer at Paris' Notre-Dame Cathedral on Tuesday said, "This is for Syria," French Interior Minister Gerard Collomb said.
The man, believed to be an Algerian student, attacked the officer with a hammer but was also armed with knives, Collomb said.

Euro cops carried actual machineguns long before US cops got rid of their revolvers. It is only in the UK that the cops went without firearms. When the Soviet-inspired and -backed terrorist groups were operating in the 70s and early 80s airports and other places were routinely patrolled by police and paramilitary outfits with machine pistols.
Citizens...not so much.
