NC: Permitless concealed carry passes House

All Democrats voted against. Eight Republicans defected and while the bill still passed, it wasn't a "veto-proof" majority. The bill still has to go to the Senate, which is 34-16 Republican. However the Governor is a Democrat who will almost certainly veto the bill if it reaches his desk.
There would still be a chance of an override - one observer noted that legislators sometimes vote for an override for bills they originally voted against because of loyalty to party and legislature, but seems slim when these 8 went against party and party platform already.
