Silly Questions about Forum symbols

I looked, but did not find:

1. Why do some posts have blue logos, and some have red?
2. Why do some of those logos appear to scroll and others do not?
3. Why do some subjects have an "at" symbol (@) at the end and others do not?

I understand "stickies". There must be some reference somewhere. I realize this is terribly important stuff, so I appreciate your time. ;-) ;-)

I don't know why some scroll and some do not, but the blue icons, indicate that there are no unread posts (on your account) and the red ones, mean that there are unread posts. As far as the @ symbol, I don't know, but I am unable to find those when I look through the posts.

That's not an "@" symbol. It's a paper clip. If you hover your mouse pointer over it, it says "Attachment(s)".

I wondered, if that was what he meant, but I though I was missing something.

Guess I'm just a caveman as I've never even noticed such things and had I would've had the slightest curiosity...but then if it wasn't for my wife I'd not own a computer...the most interesting thing I've seen lately is a guy operating a first class stump grinder, now that was cool...which reminds me I've got grind my wood spitting wedges as they've developed mushrooms tops.

I think the scrolly ones are more "active" as determined by the program.

Right, 'scrolly' that particular thread is 'hot' as in it has had X number of replies within X time frame. Just depends on how they have it set on the back-end.

IDK about the scrolling thing. There are threads one the second page of the active threads that have scrolling things that haven't had any activity for a day or two plus.

I thought the hot thread had the flames instead of the scrolling thing.

I am pretty sure The paper clip means there are pics attached to the thread.

Red means new posts since you last looked at it, blue means no new posts since you were logged on last. Scrolls means lots of replies as already stated earlier.

Oh and a red asterisk means you posted in that thread.
