According to police, the kidnapping occurred in the 5800 block of Burnet Road shortly after 1:30 pm on Wednesday, July 2, 2017 at an H-E-B Grocery Store.
Hrmmm...would the kidnapper have been discouraged if the intended victim had been open carrying? Whoops, H-E-B does not permit open carry. Never mind.

Sounds more like an attempted murder, suicide, as a result of a domestic dispute. Probably just ended up at HEB. Very poor reporting, as usual. Will need much more info to draw a complete conclusion.

July 2 or August 2?
That article is very confusing but it does say the individuals involved knew each other. The areas mentioned are not known for being high crime areas. Not sure what to make of this one.

HEB likes shoppers who carry concealed. I don't shop at HEB as much as I did before 1/1/16. When I do go inside, I stop just short of the door to untuck my shirt and cover my S&W M&P Mod 2.0 9mm, 5 inch. When I leave, I step out of traffic just after exiting the door and move my shirt tail back behind the pistol.

How do you like that pistol? That seems like a very appealing EDC. Is it a tackdriver?
