Here are from stats from 2016 from the CDC (2017 not out yet)
For kids 14 and under:
Accidental deaths due to firearms - 76
Homicides with firearms - 227
Total firearms deaths (excluding suicide) - 303
Drowning - 713
Motor Vehicle Accidents -1261
Where are the town halls for banning backyard pools??? No back yard pool has EVER been used to stop or deter a crime. It's time for lawmakers and the pool lobby to answer some tough questions regarding these back yard death machines! And, I recently found out, there are ZERO regulations on who can buy a pool, they even have little ones in the toy section at Walmart!!!!
