My earlier gun purchases were Glocks, Rugers, Smith and Wessons, and a Remington, but lately I've enjoyed some inexpensive purchases as "range toys" such as a Phoenix Arms HP25, Taurus PT22, Kel-Tec P32, and NAA minis, all of which have been reliable and fun to shoot, and they have given me extra opportunity to practice clearing malfunctions. Next on the list may be a Hipoint or Cobra Derringer.

Has anyone else found this joy?

I like mouse guns too, not so much for personal protection but for the fun of ownership. Colt Vestpocket .25acp, Kel-tec P32. They both shoot very well for what they are. I even thought of reloading for them but there are just some reloading challenges that are not worth it. The Kel-Tec P32 has the option of being a carry gun. I personally have never had any malfunctions to clear. These are not really range guns. Ammo is expensive and not readily available locally. I have found them both to be very accurate at close range.

I look for older semi-obscure firearms such Star, Llama, Astra, older vintage revolvers, Rugers and Smiths and vintage .22 rifles. Most are inexpensive though I paid quite a bit for a Smith and Wesson Model 27 .357 made about 1977-78. Been looking at some Harrington and Richardson revolvers, but they seem to be attracting a lot of interest lately and prices have jumped dramatically.

Yes, I carry an naa Pug as a 2nd backup. Actually, since I am home on a Saturday night, it is currently my primary. It is in my left front pocket. Last month I managed to put ten out of ten rounds into the head zone at 3 yards, shooting with my left hand (I am right handed).

If I am ever attacked by a cantaloupe at 3 yards, it will be the first thing I draw.

Beretta has some real high quality mouse guns. They are often not cheap though.

Totally agree. Lately I have been eyeing the SAR B6P because it tales CZ 75 mags.
